Protecting your personal data matters to us. This website is deliberately data-minimising: we use no tracking or advertising cookies, no analytics or audience-measurement services, and we do not pass your data on for advertising purposes. Personal data is only processed where you actively provide it (for example when ordering a DVD or renting a film) and to the extent technically necessary to operate the website.

4. Hosting and Server Log Files

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you access the website, the server automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits, in so-called server log files: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the volume of data transferred, the referrer URL, and the browser and operating-system type. This data is used for the secure, stable operation of the website and is not merged with other data sources.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the technically error-free operation and security of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Strato. Further information: strato.de/datenschutz.

5. DVD Orders

When you order a DVD via the order form, we process the data you provide: first and last name, address (street, postal code, town), email address, the titles and quantities ordered, and an optional message. We use this data solely to process and fulfil your order. It is transmitted to us by email via our mailbox hosted at Strato.

The legal basis is the performance of a contract or the taking of pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We retain order and invoice data insofar as we are legally required to do so (commercial and tax retention periods, generally up to ten years under § 147 AO and § 257 HGB).

6. Film Streaming (Rental)

In the Stream area you can rent individual films for a fixed period. In doing so we process the film selected, the language, the payment status, a random order/access token, and timestamps. Providing your email address is optional: if you provide one, we email you your personal viewing link; if you do not, the rental is anonymous and you reach the film directly after payment. No user accounts are created.

The legal basis is the performance of the rental contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Rental data is deleted or anonymised after the rental period ends, unless statutory retention periods for payment records require otherwise.

7. Payment Processing – Mollie

Payment for film rentals is handled via the payment service provider Mollie B.V., Keizersgracht 313, 1016 EE Amsterdam, Netherlands. You enter your payment data (e.g. card or PayPal details) directly with Mollie; we ourselves do not receive or store this full payment data. The amount, an order reference, and the payment status are transmitted to and processed by Mollie.

8. Video Streaming – Bunny Stream

Protected playback of rented films is delivered via Bunny Stream, a service of BunnyWay d.o.o., Cesta komandanta Staneta 4A, 1215 Medvode, Slovenia. During playback your IP address is transmitted to Bunny's content delivery network so that the video can be delivered. Access is token-secured; the browser only receives a short-lived, signed video address.

The legal basis is the performance of the rental contract and our legitimate interest in secure, high-performance delivery (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Further information: bunny.net/privacy.

9. Video Player – Vidstack

On the viewing page we embed the open-source video player Vidstack via a content delivery network (cdn.vidstack.io / jsDelivr). In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to the CDN operator in order to deliver the player software to your browser. The player is required to display the film you have rented; it is therefore loaded in order to provide the service you have expressly requested.

The legal basis is the performance of the contract and our legitimate interest in functioning playback (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR); delivering the player that is strictly necessary for use requires no consent under § 25(2) no. 2 TTDSG.

10. Email Dispatch

Transactional emails (such as the viewing link after a rental, or replies to orders) are sent via the email mailbox hosted at Strato. No separate external email service is currently used for this. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

11. Cookies and Local Storage

This website sets no tracking cookies. Technically necessary information – such as your language or theme preference, and a bookmark token for an ongoing rental – is stored solely locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to us. This storage is strictly necessary for the functions you have requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TTDSG); no consent banner is required for it.

12. No Automated Decision-Making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

13. SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://" in your browser's address bar.

14. Currency and Changes

This privacy policy reflects the current state of the processing carried out on this website. If our offering or the services used change, we will update this policy accordingly.
